AI is quickly improving. It’s learning patterns of human speech, improving the speed and accuracy of scientific processes, and showing you what you’d look like as an oil painting of a pilgrim with pretty decent accuracy. But it has yet to conquer the final frontier… comedy. After feeding our AI program several scripts, monologues, and jokes, we’ve trained it to write its own material. And now we need the help of trained comedic actors to read those scripts on stage along with the live feedback of a comedy audience to help us collect data. Is AI the end of comedy...or just the beginning?
